Hello All,

I am writing client software for a SOAP 1.1 webservice that uses WS-ADDRESSING; specifically http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/ws/2004/08/addressing.

I have read the specifications and am still unclear about which elements are required for the request and which elements are required for the return response.

Are the elements in the response dependent on those of the request?

Here is an example of the message information block used by a SOAP 1.2 webservice.    (note: I am interested in SOAP 1.1).

The message is being sent from http://business456.example/client1 to http://fabrikam123.example/Purchasing.

Which of these elements are mandatory for the request and the response for a SOAP 1.1 webservice/client?

<S:Header>
    <wsa:MessageID>
      uuid:6B29FC40-CA47-1067-B31D-00DD010662DA
    </wsa:MessageID>
    <wsa:ReplyTo>
      <wsa:Address>http://business456.example/client1</wsa:Address>
    </wsa:ReplyTo>
    <wsa:To>http://fabrikam123.example/Purchasing</wsa:To>
    <wsa:Action>http://fabrikam123.example/SubmitPO</wsa:Action>
</S:Header>

Thank you so much for any help you can give.

-Ravi
