Hi Guys,

i am preparing for java 8 exams and solving some practice tests.

I often see questions saying choose all that apply. There would be 6 options or so. Sometimes there is only one answer but it gets tricky in such cases because we tend to think there are more than one correct answers?
How many such questions do we see in OCA-8 exam?

Also, How many questions do we get in the actual OCA-8 exam which would have more than 1 correct answer? I ask because if there are more of such questions that time management could be a challenge.

Are Enums in the course of study for this exam?

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Thanks
Harish

Hi harish patarla,

First of all, a warm welcome to CodeRanch!

Each question (on the actual exam) clearly specifies the number of options you have to select. If only one answer is required, radio buttons will be used (and thus you can only select one answer). And there are no points for partially correct answers, so you have to select all correct options in order to get one point for that question. And there is no negative marking if you get a question wrong, so you can guess for free

This topic has exactly the same question and contains also some information about the user interface of the exam software. So probably worth reading as well.

I have no clue at all! But it should not matter at all, because each question clearly specifies the number of correct answers you have to select. And if you see radio buttons in front of the answer options, you know you only have to select one answer.

Enums are not part of the official OCAJP8 exam objectives. It's an exam objective for the OCPJP8 certification exam.

Hope it helps!
Kind regards,
Roel

I'm doing the Enthuware practise tests in preparation for my exam next week.  It is modelled after the real exam and states that the real exam tells you how many answers to pick.

Enthuware has been invaluable in shaking down my knowledge and helping me to close any gaps.

Additionally, it helps with pacing for the real test...which will be familiar after having taken seven practise tests the week prior.
