Congratulations on the published 2nd Edition of the massive book -- Secrets of the JavaScript Ninja. I just couldn't wait for this to be out in no time, with ES6 (2015/Harmony) already out and the new concepts, syntax, and styles it brings. So synchronizing my Ninja level with the modern JS programming patterns needed a 2E. And here it is. How solid!

This book's approach to teaching JS is so so applaudable, I must say. It has sure helped me in advancing my level of competency in JS to an intermediary-proficient level (haha)

Thank you, ninja authors.

I got a lot out of the first edition and am looking forward to working through the second.

For those that may be impatient, or just want a bargain (50% off), Secrets of the JavaScript Ninja, 2nd Edition, is one of today's (Sep 7, 2016) Manning Deals of the Day. See this topic for details.

Well, this is a marvelous synchronicity!  I saw the email announcing this discussion minutes ago, and as it happens, my copy of Secrets of the JavaScript Ninja, first edition, was sitting on top of a pile of stuff right under the monitor.  I'm getting ready to dig deep into JS, make some interactive one-page web apps, using WebGL, aiming for some physics/math tools to use as demos.

So, there's a 2nd edition appearing right when I'm starting this project?  Interesting... I need that book!
