I had been working in java from 2007 to 2011.Because of some reasons , i have to leave the job.I was SSE(senior software engineer)by then.It is already more than 5 yrs, i discontinued. Now, again i want to resume my career in java.Is it possible for me to get a call from the recruiters? Please respond ASAP.
We take no notice of things like asap, and a thread title like “Need Help ... Please reply” does nothing to attract anybody to your discussion. You must talk to the recruiters in such a manner that they will think you are better than anybody else.
Anyway, why would you want to talk to recruiters in the first place? Contact employers, but make sure you are a good applicant. Make sure you are keeping up to date, and that you are writing code to keep your hand in.

For Campbell Ritchie : if i am posting my resume in the job sites, it will go to recruiter first, then the recruiter will go for the interview if they like the profile.Employer is not in the picture.so my point is if i am posting my profile in the job sites, then can i get a call from recruiters. PLEASE POST YOUR OPINIONS.
You can apply directly to employers. You don't have to go through a recruiter.
Regardless, the first step is to make yourself for marketable. What have you done in the past 6 months that is tech related? Have you read anything? Have you coded for fun? Do you have a github profile? You are going to need to point to something to show you have current skills.
