I've been trying to get the metadata from my video files which the user can select. Here's a part of my method:

It returns an empty list: {}
Otherwise if I'm trying to get the values by a specified key, it will return null.

Bizarrely it works fine when I'm taking .mp3 files. Of course I made sure that my .mp4 files have some data / information in their properties, if you know what I mean.
I've also tried the version with a MapChangeListener, didn't work out as well.

I hope you do understand my problem and can give me some useful tips. This is my first post so please correct me if necessary.
Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the Ranch

That question is too difficult for this forum; let's try the FX forum.

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
