Due to programming a video player with JavaFX I want to add a library with some simple preview pictures. I'm currently saving my videos in an ObservableList, so I can easily invoke them if needed.
My question is: Can I get a thumbnail or any picture data without call every singe video before? I'm trying to keep it as efficient and simple as possible.
I know there's a snapshot() method in the Media API, but as I think it's designed for using it while have loaded the video.

Do you know what I mean? I hope you can help me, appreciate any help or tips.
Have a nice day and thank you in advance.
