Which text editor you recomends or think is good to use for the code examples in the book and practice?

I usually use sublime, and it is good but sometimes the process to compile and run is too long. So, I wish to know If there are one text editor which the most people use for the certefication?

Hi Nathaniel -

To code examples for preparing for this exam, prefer a text editor:

1) which doesn't auto-correct your code
2) doesn't highlight code that will fail compilation
3) doesn't highlight code that might throw runtime exception(s).

Using an IDE isn't recommended because the exam would question you on the usage of right methods from Java API or ask you to spot code that won't compile or might throw a runtime exception.

Professionals use different editors - BlueJ or TextPad and others. Does sublime enable you to compile/ run your code using simple shortcuts (apologies, I haven't used it)?

Thanks.

With much respect,
Mala
