Hello,

Would anyone be able to point me to the source code for the default XMLReader implementation class? (I think it is authored by Sun). I would like to have a look at the code for the 'parse' method, to see it iterating through the text in the XML file and calling the appropriate event handlers, but can't seem to find it.

Thank you!

What default XMLReader I can't find an XMLReader class in the Java8SE documentation. Is it a JEE class?

Damn!

I looked in the wrong place for XMLReader. Sorry. I now find there are two interfaces of that name, well XmlReader and XMLReader. Presumably you have some method with an XMLReader return type. Have you looked for the code of that class in the src.zip file? I cannot find the old USE link in the API documentation, but this is what you would have got from the USE link in Java6.

Look for DOM or SAX parsers, you might mean one of those. Source code you can download from Oracle's website.
