What is the best Text Editor for Java?  I have used Notepad++ for some python programming last year but when watching videos on YouTube most people suggest installing a plugin.  The plugin is called npp.exec and when I try to install npp.exec I get the following error:   Who is Vitaliy Dovgan?

I am using NetBeans right now and it is pretty good. I find it fairly easy to use. I like it, but I have not tried any other things to program Java with as I am just learning myself. Hope this helped a bit!

Welcome to the Ranch

If I ever use Windows®, Notepad++ is my favourite. Search my posts (put 109202 in the user number box) for “decent text editor”, and with any luck you will find my recommendations for options to enable in your text editor. I would suggest you avoid NetBeans and other IDEs if you are not an experienced programmer.

Maybe Vitaly Dovgan is whoever developed npp. But otherwise not sure.

Vitaly Dovgan is the author of the plugin NppExec.

I got the same error trying to install the plugin.  I think this is a Notepad++ plugin support question.  Of course, you don't need NppExec to edit Java files with Notepad++.
