each time i try mailing my users using my website, it keeps giving me an exception that says

java.lang.RuntimeException: javax.mail.MessagingException: Could not connect to SMTP host: 45.249.110.30, port: 587; nested exception is: java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused

i think i used all the info you gave me to carry out the mailing process correctly.
here they are:

mail account: support@smilebolt.com
mail smtp host: 66.249.54.32 //not real ip address
mail smtp port: 587

i made more research about it, and i found out that this error usually is a firewall issue from the smtp host machine.

am trying to do this using java mail api and here is what my code looks like:

I don't doubt your Java code. The exception seems to provide all the necessary information.

This is almost always either a firewall problem on one of the links between (or in) the client and mailserver OR that the mailserver is down.

Another possibility would be that the mailserver isn't listening on the port indicated. I don't thing port 587 is a common SMTP port. More typically, it would be port 25.
