I am having some problems with the study of this certification

First of all, i am spanish and my level of English is good enought to certificate, but it is very difficult for me to study because I translate and write everything into Spanish first and then study it, so it takes me a long time, I found the book of Up And Running very hard to read, so I decided to read a documentation that i have from a "Oracle oficial course" and i see the Javabrains videotutorials, which by the way are very good.

After this, i think i have enoucht level to read directly Mikalai Zaikin notes ... but then i realice that i didnt understand a lot of things.

I am having problems specialy with the security part since there is some blah blah in Zaikin 6 notes in the security for a SOAP web service. Its enought with the 8 lesson of the Zaikin 5.0 notes? What more i need to know and where i have to study it, because i have a lot of information from diferent places, but i dont know what exactly i need to study.

The same thing happening to me with "Apply best practices to design and implement web services", Is there any place where i can found this information clearly?

Thanks a lot!!!

Hi Juan,

I am having some problems with the study of this certification

This is indeed a very difficult  certification.

Java EE6 security is best explained here: EE6 tutorial

You can find some nice explanations about Webservice security here: javaworld and owasp.

The same thing happening to me with "Apply best practices to design and implement web services", Is there any place where i can found this information clearly?

Unfortunately not, MZ notes give some good pointers but you need to do a lot of research.

Thank you very much, this guides are helping me a lot, and good to start again for somepart ... since i am already a certificated in web component, this part of the security EE security is not a problem. But the WS- aspects is are driving me crazy, I am doing an overview of everything, security in JSE include, looking at wsit manual etc... because there are a lot of concepts, a lot of specifications, i need to know them at a high level, at least. I'm saturated with too much information, so I've decided to focus on putting it in order.

And wow ... this is harder than i thought!

Yeah, this is a tough one.

I found some information for the "Apply best practices to design and implement web services" topics over in the blueprints of sun.

Although very old, you might go through chapter 8 of this book: Designing-Web-Services
