"It works for me." What operating system and browser are you using?

I use that too and I have not had that problem at all. Do you have installed any Chrome extensions?

Just I.D.M., Google Input tools, Google Docs, and McAfee Web Advisor.

I am using Windows7 (Office desktop, so cannot upgrade) and Chrome. Behavior is like this
1. When I am accessing https://coderanch.com, it is asking me to login even if I had checked "Remember me" before.
2. When I am accessing https://coderanch.com/forums/recentTopics/list, it is getting automatically login in.

Yes, I see, personally I never go to coderanch.com directly but I see that it isn't working.

I usually use my bookmark: https://coderanch.com/forums/

Thats right and to the point. You nailed it!
I have just observed that this is the same behaviour, I am experiencing.

Ah. CodeRanch.com doesn't know if you are logged in so you see that regardless. I'll mention it to the developer of that page.

Basically any page except for the home page is reading the cookies correctly and getting login in, if I am not wrong.

This is now fixed. The login button is gone from the top. And in the middle, there's now a "browse" button as well.

As before, the top navigation does have links to useful pages like the recent topics view. I use that one a lot!

Cow to Abhay for brining this up.

Actually, I think, more than me, credit goes to Tapas Chand for finding the failure scenario.

You both were helpful. Tapas already had a cow for that post when I saw it. You didn't so I needed to even that out .

Seriously though, it is helpful to bring something up even if you don't have all the data points/patterns yet. Tapas figured out what was going on and I made it clearer. Between all of us, some future user won't be confused!
