Getting the JasperReports into Excel format

Hi


I have this doPost method in my Servlet class which is generate the report as PDF format, Now I want to generate this report as an Excel format?

Have you try saving the jasper report in excel format in ireport software? Does the layout need changing or such? If not then you can use JRXlsExporter to export to XLS.

Here shows a sample using Jasper 5. The method calls may be outdated/deprecated in Jasper 6.

I have this error when I entered the date:

Caused by: com.sun.org.apache.xerces.internal.impl.io.MalformedByteSequenceException: Invalid byte 1 of 1-byte UTF-8 sequence.



SEVERE: Servlet.service() for servlet ControllerExcel threw exception
java.lang.RuntimeException: Error on Reports Controller !!!



I modified my code and now I have this one, but it dose not work (report does not exporting to Excel)
