Do you use a study guide to prepare for the certification exam?

Note that Date is not on the exam. It is the Java 8, LocalData, etc that you need to learn.

If you know/learn the API mentioned in the study guide, you'll be in excellent shape to take the exam. That's the main purpose of a certification exam study guide.

Excellent. In that case, you need to know the APIs mentioned in the book!

I didn't want to reply with that before because "buy my book to find out the answer" felt self serving. But since you already own the book, it is a fine answer .
