Hey all,

I just started my journey down the path to become a Java programmer, and I could use some guidance.

I compared a few communities using Google and this one seemed very welcoming and nice to members. I would like to be part of that! I am currently going through , and am trying to pick things up as I go. Eventually I would love to get involved in projects that make life easier for people, so if there are any projects going on, maybe I could help you guys when I get a bit better at things

I'm sure I will probably ask some Java-related questions in the future, but for now I would just like to say hi!

correction: I'm currently going through Java: A Beginner's Guide, Sixth Edition. Is it true that posts can not be edited?

Floyd,
Welcome to CodeRanch! Posts can be edited under specific circumstances that change periodically. (All of which require a minimum number of posts).

A good way to contribute is to edit pages in the wiki forum. Links you find, removing dead links, etc.

I'm not dead! I feel happy! I'd like to go for a walk! I'll even read a tiny ad:
Java file APIs (DOC, XLS, PDF, and many more)
