Welcome Sameer Paradkar!
I am currently working as Technical Specialist and making my way to the role of Architect. In what way this book could me acheive my objective?

Does this book outline architecture skills and competencies needed while addressing proven methodologies?

* Wish you success with this book!

Hi Amandeep,

The book has all the guidance you need for as a SME.  I am sharing these details from the title.

Regards,
Sameer

An architect/sme's typically attend several interviews and discussions for jobs or projects during his or her entire career. There is always a dire need to look up and read multiple books and references before these interviews / discussions so that you stay on top of things. This artifact will assist the designers, consultants, technical, solution, domain, enterprise lead and chief architects to perform well in their interview discussions and to launch a successful career. This book also tackles the NFR domain which is the key aspect to be addressed while architecting applications.
This book will also assist designers, consultants, technical, solution, domain, enterprise lead and chief architects to become competent in their respective areas. Usually it takes years to understand the core concepts, fundamentals, patterns and principles related to architecture and designs but this artifact is a gold mine that typically discussed during an interview.
The book also includes a probability indictor for each of the question to indicate the probability of this being asked during your discussion. The book has close to 14 domains and around 500 questions covering these domains. The book is an honest attempt to share with practionnares, SMEs and aspirants my experiences, learning, insights and proven methodologies that will benefit them in the long run. The interviewers will also be able leverage this book to make sure they hire candidate with the right competencies depending on the job requirements.

Hi Sameer,

Thanks for the quick response.

This is indeed what I was looking for. The book seems to offer comprehensive and consolidated information, for which one normally undergoes several trainings or read several books. Wish you success with this book!

Thanks, Aman

I'm assuming you discuss possible answers and who one might be better than another. Do you also include references to more in-depth information for people who need to learn more about the topic?

Thanks,
Burk

Sir there are a lot of details about  the book on various sites include PactkPub, Safari, Amazon, O'Reilly's, and other online stores. The entire catalog of visual diagrams are online @ https://www.packtpub.com/sites/default/files/downloads/CrackingtheITArchitectInterview.pdf.  On some of these above sites a few pages of each chapters are online as well.  This is a good amount of information that  you can go thro' about  the book.

Sameer

After doing some digging, it looks like questions are followed by relatively brief answers with no discussion. They're useful as a reference or reminder but not a primary source for someone unfamiliar with the topic. I only saw one source listed and that was google.com.

For those interested, the link above has an extra period which causes a 404 error. The correct URL is: https://www.packtpub.com/sites/default/files/downloads/CrackingtheITArchitectInterview.pdf
