Hi.

I have 2 applications(for instance A and B) where the aplicationA exposes a webservice to the aplication B. This applications are runnnig on the same machine and same Tomcat.
If i install the aplications one by one there's no problem.

When i reboot the tomcat i can see the app A starting fine but the app B hangs when looks for the webservice exposed by the app A.

Can you help me?
Thank you.

Welcome to the JavaRanch, Carlos!

No, I'm afraid that with the limited amount of information you supplied, we cannot help.

Tomcat has no special characteristics when it comes to webapps that invoke other webapps. Whatever is wrong is between the webapps themselves.

If you start with a version of Tomcat which has no applications installed, and then install application B, what happens?

My guess: application B will hang in the same way as in the situation you described in your original post. If that's the case, then you would have to fix application B so that it doesn't behave so badly when application A is unavailable.

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
