How can i make service with okhttp auto running in Background?

Hello guys, i am is beginner in android programming, and i want to ask.
I am make application can get data from server, every second. and if any update from server. service will shown notification. notification shown when the application opened (not in Background). How I can make request OkHttp in Service? Thanks For your help.
