Hi

I am currently using WL Portal 8.1. By default my BEA Repository is stored in PointBase database.
Has anyone tried to change the database to Oracle or somehting else? Please give me some details about it as I am new to WLP.
Thanks in advance.

regards
Shantanu

This isn't too bad to do. Take a look at the docs at http://e-docs.bea.com/wlp/docs81/db/3Oracle.html to get an idea.

Basically it is a matter of creating the tables and loading them with some required data. The only real problem you may have is that if you have a bunch of stuff in your Pointbase database there are no tools included to migrate that to Oracle.
