I am preparing for oca se8 exam. From .. This book OCA: Oracle Certified Associate Java SE 8 Programmer I Study Guide: Exam 1z0 808 by  Jeanne I boyarsky . It had been more than  2.5 months. I

I completed my syllabus a week ago.. Now I just follow the same chapter again.. And doing the review questions.. From book.. But as i Completed my chapter I made 40% of the question wrong from review question....

I am not able to understand... Where I am lacking


Do my basic are week..

Is it nor. Normal.... If i did not able to crack the questions... Do iam not able to crack exam as well... All the Certified please help we with this...

Look for patterns about what you don't know. Write lots of code around that code. Make flashcards. It's not enough to just read the chapter if you aren't retaining the details.

You are correct that you won't pass the real exam with 40% on the chapter questions.

Could you provide more detailed information about your preparation? Do you only read the book? Do you write small code snippets? Do you use an IDE? What's your background? Do you have any Java experience before preparing for this certification? And so on.

In the OcajpFaq (besides other very useful information) and this thread you'll find an overview of all available (free and commercial) resources (study guides, mock exams, video courses,...) to thorougly prepare yourself for the certification exam. And on the OcajpWallOfFame you'll find plenty of (links to) experiences from other ranchers (including resources they have used). So it can be useful to determine which resources are useful (and which are not).
