The robot weighs more now, but this was it's first attempt at climbing a rope:



I've seen a number of attempts since then and all have worked. The robot does other things too. It was built to play this game:

And now the robot reveal video is out. I had to look away when they did the fast changing of shots about 25% in. The rest is cool.



I'm in the background twice. At 1:00-1:05 (you have to really be looking; I'm behind the wooden construct at right. I'm the one wearing a sweatshirt around my waist.) And again at 1:58-2:00 (I'm in the last row on the right side.)

Not yet. It typically takes time for people to upload videos. Not sure if we took any regardless.
