Hi,

I am creating a webpage for a site. I am creating web project after 5 years, do not know much about what all has happened in this time duration in web development technologies.

I want to use more of HTML5 to keep the site more adaptable to latest features in HTML5.

I have created a basic page, but it doesnt look like my end target. I have uploaded my initial design here: jsfiddle.

I have attached my intended layout.

Please help me in fixing this page to its desired level. I wish to have cross browser layout so as not to limit it's usage.

Thanks

That looks similar. What specifically in the fiddle do you want to appear differently?

I have updated my design quite a bit. Here is the updated design: https://jsfiddle.net/f4sc9sy7/11/

Earlier problem was the main content area was not scaling. Current problem is with the overflowing page size.

I do not know which component is the cause for this. How to set the height of offending component, such that the page is visible properly across all resolutions.

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
