Serial communication in android on slave mode

Hai, iam a beginner to android, i am working with serial communication project, my goal is to communicate with a machine using android application, project is working fine with a java library named "com.hoho.android.usbserial" library, but the problem is device not charging by default the device is acting as a host, found some solutions like using type-c usb cord or otg Y connector and they are not safe too, is there any way to make serial communication with charging programatically?
