Digital technologies

Hi,
I am not sure sure if this is the correct forum/topic to ask this question. Please feel free to point me to a different forum if it belongs there.
I am a java developer with 10+ years experience and nowadays I am hearing a lot of jargon related to "Digital Technologies" and am not clear what it means. I have come to know that digital technologies is the future.
My queries:
1. Which all technologies (java related) which come under digital technologies
2. Is there any course/path available to learn digital technologies and stay relevant

I have heard it at my company. I work for a large IT firm. I am hearing that one needs to learn digital technologies to stay relevant. When I inquired it seems to include same old technologies like Web services, Angular JS and others. Frankly speaking I couldn't make much out of it. Thus I thought I should ask in a neutral forum like this one.

You won't hear the phrase much in software or IT contexts because just about everything we do is digital. But if you read about business or the economy, or even politics, you'll see it all over the place. In that sense it's certainly a buzzword. It's just the first relevant link I found when searching for "digital technologies". If you want to dive deep into it, you'll have to look outside software/IT circles for the reason stated above.
