Hi,

Can someone point to good soap (also rest) examples on the net, that goes beyond mere 'hello world' processing and does some business processing too? And the examples need to be for Eclipse.

Thanks.

There are many you could find in the web including Axis2 Quick Start.

I'm not sure what you mean by business processing, If you mean BPEL then you may have to look at available implementations like Apache ODE

Hi Vijitha,

Thank you for pointing me to some good links. Actually, I am learning a webservice course and my instructor told me to convert a formally written 'Shopping Cart' project from servlet to Webservice. I don't know how to do that. How do I change a servlet to a web service? Hence I am looking for some examples with a lot of code in them so that I may get some understanding. I will take a look at the link provided by you.

Thanks,

Ravi

You would have to identify the input/output and design the service(s) (perhaps break the functionality in to micro services if required) as needed.

we will create a simple Dynamic Web Project in Eclipse that will contain the business logic for our application.

yeah, but ... what would PIE do? Especially concerning this tiny ad:
Java file APIs (DOC, XLS, PDF, and many more)
