Hi

If we have very beginners in JavaScript. But being in a situation to learn Ext JS (Extended Java Script) to start up a project quite soon, observing and reading this book will be helpful ? Is it recommendable in such situation ? Can we also learn in depth about how AJAX reduces the number of page refreshes and improves performance by this book ?

Just a suggestion after had a glance on this book, "How to Install Chrome and Firefox does not seem to shoot this Book" - Spoon feeding.

Regards

Hi Mohammed

I thought I replied to your post yesterday, but I don't see my reply anywhere   So I'll try again, and if a duplicate reply shows up later, then you'll know why...

It's hard to give specific feedback about preparation for your project without knowing more about that project. But in general I'd say that, yes, this book should be very helpful in getting people ready to work with JavaScript libraries and platforms. Also, the ajax chapter provides a lot of detailed information about making ajax requests. It covers the various ways you can use jQuery for ajax (load(), $.get(), $.post(), $.ajax(), etc), but also demonstrates how to do an old school ajax request using plain JavaScript and the XMLHttpRequest object.
