Dear friends,

Is that possible to pass 1Z0-809 (Java SE 8 Programmer II) without 1Z0-808 (Java SE 8 Programmer I) ?
I passed 1Z0-803 (Java SE 7 Programmer I) a year ago and now planning to take 1Z0-804 (Java SE 7 Programmer II) soon. Can I pass 1Z0-809 instead of 1Z0-804 ?

Thanks.

Glad you found the answer. In a nutshell, the exams go together. So if you have OCA 7, you have to continue with OCP 7.

You can indeed pass 1Z0-809 without having passed 1Z0-808 as you can take both exams in a random order. But the "Oracle Certified Professional, Java SE 8 Programmer" title will only be granted to you when you have passed 1Z0-808 too, because you can not combine different certification versions.
