I'm starting to think about where would be a convenient test center.

I've phoned a couple of places local to me in London & for my calculations & other scribblings they will only offer a 'wipe board', with additional boards available if they have spares on the day, and a pen. I prefer pencil & paper.

Googling around, it looks like all Oracle certification in the uk is via Pearson and this might be a Pearson policy, not an Oracle requirement.

Anyone with recent experience of uk locations where pencil & paper is an option?

Richard,
All Oracle certs worldwide are by Pearson. It's been a long time since I've been someplace with paper (in the US). If you manage to find one in the UK, I'm excited to hear it.

The wipeboard isn't as annoying as you'd expect. That or it grew on me!

Thanks Jeanne.

I was unaware that Pearson have a monopoly on testing. I guess I'll have to put up with & try to make the best of, whatever they provide

Nope, it was a white board + black marker. You better concentrate on the centres which have decent size monitors rather than 15/17 inches which makes you scroll up N' down if you want to see either question or possible answers - that is most disturbing thing I can imagine can happen.

Thanks Liutauras, good tip!  I'd not thought of checking that.

For the Oracle exams. For the TOGAF, Prometric has a "monopoly." In general, a company only deals with one testing provider for this type of thing.
