Hallo William

The book looks very interesting, from the small sample available on Amazon.

Do you think that the book will also work as a 'convincer' to persuade existing Windows developers to switch to Linux?

Have you done much development in Windows, and how do you think the two environments compare for supporting developers?

Thanks :-)

Hi Julian,

Not sure if it will convince someone who is a die-hard Windows developer, but hope it will help those who have an open mind that Linux is a viable alternative.

I would not call myself a Windows developer, although I have coded on Windows.  However, whenever I work on Windows, I end up trying to add tools (like Cygwin) to make the environment more Linux-like because I miss the handy tools that exists on Linux.

Many thanks for the reply Bo.

Indeed, it's the same for me, can't live without Git Bash, putty, WinSCP, Cygwin... :-D

Good luck with the book!
