Two months might be really thight, certainly for OCPJP8. This certification exam is really hard & difficult as it requires an in-dept knowledge of a bunch of (very) advanced topics (generics, file i/o, nio, threading, concurrency,...).
You should take your time to prepare thoroughly! Here is my personal opinion: Give yourself enough time to prepare. Don't rush! The journey becoming certified is
much more important than that piece of paper itself. If you take your time to prepare, you'll become a much better developer with a good understanding of Java and OO basics. You'll get much more out of your certification than someone who's preparing to just pass the exam. No doubt! (and of course the same applies for the OCP certification exam as well)

I think one of the reasons is definitely size. The OCA part of K&B7 was 370 pages and the OCA8 study guide has already 60 pages more... And another reason might simply be a financial reason: if the OCA8 certification guide is published as soon as it was finished, exam aspirants can purchase the study guide (and the publisher earns a few bucks).
