Murachs Python Programming: example versions?

What version of Python are the examples written in? I remember reading that version 2 and 3 are not compatible and lots of applications and libraries are still using version 2, so adoption of version 3 is quite slow, is this still the case?

On page 526, it's stated that the examples in the book target version 3.

Julian is right. Our book targets Python 3.

Yes, Python 2 and 3 are not usually compatible, and there are lots of applications and libraries still using Python 2. However, it's pretty easy to migrate from Python 2 to 3, and I feel like the rate of adoption is picking up speed.
