Scala for the Impatient: SBT with Scala?

Hello Cay.

Would you recommend using SBT while learning Scala?
Most of the examples in your book can be written in Scala REPL. Using SBT (or any other build tool) would benefit newcomers to Scala, in my opinion, as it makes the SDLC management a lot easier.

So far, I haven't used SBT in my book, but I may revisit that for the next edition. It is a really good idea to know a little bit of SBT, and it's easy to pick that up. Fortunately, I never had to get into it deeply myself. I have a copy of SBT in Action and never made it past chapter 3 :-)
