in vegetables, it would be okra. I cant stand that slimy stuff. even fried. speaking of slimy, I used to work as a cook at a restaurant. we made scampi. shrimp, scallops, oysters, but also escargot. I hated that! I had to go into the walk in and reach in a can and grab 6 slimy snails. I had to clean my hands before I could even continue cooking. I also wont eat tripe. and I sure wouldn't eat a possum, it would be like eating a vulture.
A living octopus. They actually eat that in Korea. If not chewed right, you can suffocate. Dead fried octopus is no problem at all though.
Anything from an animals brain. I know the chance is small but prions!
And dog meat. One coworker in Korea once said that a certain meat on the table was dog meat. I think he tried to be funny and it was not true, but I did not eat it once I heard him saying that.
As scary (or gross) as eating one or more of the aforementioned animals/vegetables might sound, consider this article about a meal from a particular fast food restaurant (hopefully I don't get into trouble given that the article names the restaurant) that did not go bad after 6 years: "fast" food
I use the phrase "did not go bad" but obviously no one in their right mind would eat it after all that time. The point is, you have to wonder just how much artificial ingredients they are putting in some food!!
This probably will not come as a surprise to many of us, given the reputation of fast food in general.
I also heard (or read) somewhere that eating some part of a lobster can kill you. I think it's the brain?? But I am sure any seafood connoisseurs here will correct me.

I noticed they have cantaloupe for $.88 today, I think I will get one. I was considering a beef/soy burger frozen dinner, but I would have to nuke it first. it is hard to eat well nowadays. especially when you don't have a fridge.
