There's Google Hangouts which is free for audio/video and allows screenshare. And Skype which is also free if everyone is online and also allows screenshare.

We've used Zoom which is $15/month for the person hosting and free for everyone else.

And I've been hearing about Discord which is free for audio only chats. It also has the advantage of offering a fully browser based option.

Any others?

Hello Jeanne, we use Skype..

But I have another remark here. I completely uhm, .. dislike this. The thing is, I have a hearing problem, and a hearing aid that helps me. Normally when I speak my native tongue and when I speak one to one to people, this hardly gives me problems. But then talking on line, in English, people with a strong accent, people talking simultaneously, bad grammar, bad sound quality. I just cannot understand them. Every time I have such a session, I get nervous, cold sweat, I think, please, please ... write me an email, write it down on paper! So I would rather not use such a service at all to be honest.

slack - for regular chats with local teams and teams overseas
zoom - for group calls and video's
facebook workplace - for exchanging visual information and quick short message texts

skype we used to use instead zoom, but it is going away due to consistent issues.
