I known CodeRanch about 1 years ago. The first impression is when I saw this link https://coderanch.com/forums/forums/allForums.
Well, it really surprised me! With new guy begin learn Java, I will be confused, if I don't know where I should find my answer. When I begin learning Java, I know have a lot of tons relate with Java. When I see precede link, I understand more "Java's system". I know sure I will choose this forum, not Github or Quora or any Vietnamese Java forum (I live in Vietnam) in next finding answer for Java.
Second impression is some days ago, when I register forum, I see "Rule about naming account". Rarely, I use my real name in forum. I am not inconvenient about this. What make me happy is forum's tidy, very tidy and its rules. I can read English programming book fine, but commmunication with English is not good. I will learn to communicate by English more, for be able to communicate better with everybody. And less dependent on Google translate (I use Google translate about 30%). And of course, I can help answer another user.
I begin love our Ranch like love Java programming!
I think it is cool that you improving both Java and English on this forum. Two languages for the price of one!
Note that our real name policy requires that it could be your name. It doesn't actually have to be *your* name if that makes you uncomfortable for any reason. What we don't want is your name to be "Mickey Mouse" or "Vietnamese Programmer"
