i got started on this thought by the beach boys. i didnt like them at the time, but i grew to appreciate the harmony. and acapella singing is really cool, especially if there is harmony.
when i was in houston about 10 years ago, i met a guy named barbeque steve.  he liked to barbecue, but he also liked to sing. he taught me "down by the riverside". we even got in trouble a few times for singing so vigorously. we both sang pretty good, but what can you say...neighbors.
it is so inspirational, i will quote it here.

im gonna lay down my burdens, down by the riverside, down by the riverside, down by the riverside.
im gonna lay down my burdens, down by the riverside, and study war no more, no more.

im gonna lay down my sword and shield, down by the riverside, down by the riverside, down by the riverside.
im gonna lay down my sword and shield, down by the riverside, and study war no more, no more.

im gonna put on my long white robe, down by the riverside, down by the riverside, down by the riverside.
im gonna put on my long white robe, down by the riverside, and study war no more, no more.
