I think I would like to try to take part in the latest promotion where you could win a copy of Android Programming: The Big Nerd Ranch Guide. This contest started July 25, 2017 and end July 28, 2017.
I have also noticed that the "Passed Java Certification" thread doesn't have too many Canadian residents. Any thoughts on why that might be?
Thanks for your time and attention to this matter,
I did get a response to this question on a different thread, which listed the winners. I certainly did expect to win, and I wasn't planning on asking or posting any questions to the thread that was hosting this promotion either.
Sorry about posting to this thread, I did not know that it was closed and I did not try to do anything to break any rules. Did you want to know what I running to see if something which I'm running allowed me to post?
Hardware: Lenovo g550 laptop
OS: Windows 10 64x Pro with the latest Windows updates.
Version 1703 (OS Build 15063.483)
Browser: Google Chrome Version 59.0.3071.115 (Official Build) (64-bit)
However if you go to
you should notice that there is a button near the top right hand labeled "New Topic", which is right of the Change View button.
I think that I pressed New Topic button and then created my post.
I can try this again if you want me to, and if you want me to what should I post?

I know that I wouldn't automatically win in the promotion(s), but I know that there is no point in trying to win if you exclude Canada as a region that can participate.
Where does it say that? The only mention of the United States in the rules is "To receive a book, it must be legal under US law to ship books to your country from the United States. ". That excludes countries like North Korea. It's certainly legal to send things so Canada.
No, you wouldn't. But the original forum is supposed to be visible only on 1st April. It is a mystery to me how so many people find it.

In view of your helpfulness in this question, have a cow
If you navigate to
You can post to
"Questions with no answers and all URGENT posts"
I'm told that should not be allowed.
How did I get there?
