BAE Systems are looking to recruit individuals to work on challenging Mission Systems Engineering projects, embracing cutting edge technologies & processes.

There are opportunities requiring a range of experience across the engineering lifecycle in multiple disciplines, from System Architectures, Software, Safety, Security, using a Model Based System Engineering approach.

Your main responsibilities as a Systems Engineer (Future Platforms and Services) will involve:

Analysing systems requirements, including the capture, manipulation and management of systems requirements

Expressing the analysis of sub-system requirements and context documents in SysML using the Integrity Modeller (formerly Artisan) toolset

Performing sub-system requirements analysis and design validation in the Integrity Modeller Toolset

Service orientated architecture design.

Developing interface definitions at sub-system level

Assessing architectural alignment with wider systems of systems

Undertaking the following:

• Process design engineering
• Systems safety engineering, including the analysis of the systems safety requirements
• Systems integration, including structuring and partitioning of complex systems
• Systems performance analysis
• Systems qualification and acceptance

Your skills and qualifications:


Degree or equivalent experience in relevant discipline

Knowledge of one or more stages of the systems engineering lifecycle/ V-model
Knowledge of electronic/ software systems or similar engineering discipline within a complex engineering environment

Knowledge of Model Based System Engineering techniques and methodologies


Experience of using System modelling tools

Working knowledge of UML/SysML

Knowledge of PC hardware/ components and their various operating systems (Windows, Linux, etc.)
Experience of developing aircraft / mission systems

Salary: £30,930+
