Hello folks,

I'm just another sheep that has done some programming in another language and has the thought in his head that he would like to learn Java Programming.  I picked up a book by the Deitel Boys named "Java, How To Program, Early Objects".  On further investigation I have found that they also have a book named "Java, How To Program, Late Objects".    The content between the two books seems identical.  Can someone explain to me the difference between Early Objects and Late Objects?

Thank you in advance

Welcome to the Ranch

The content is the same, but it is presented in a different order. I prefer the early objects approach because I have seen people who had difficulty grasping the concept of objects after learning a different paradigm. An early objects approach shows how objects are made from classes, and their structure and use, before discussing things like control structures and program flow.

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
