2.5 years of bliss with Linux mint on a thinkpad w541.  And now I get this.  Fixable?

Found this

https://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?t=200214

It says that it has to do with my SD card reader.  Which I don't use.

I went to the bios stuff and couldn't find a way to turn it off.

I read that earlier today.  It is seven years old and seems to be about installing and a verified bug in linux.  My guess is that they fixed the bug.  Plus, there is a lot there that is over my head.

In other words:  that might have the answers, but I don't seem to have what it takes to get the answer out and mend my system.

Did you update recently? Perhaps BIOS upgrade as noted in that thread?

The funny thing is that my permies peeps fixed it!

There are a LOT of tech folks that are bonkers about permaculture.
