This week, we're delighted to have Ken Kousen helping to answer questions about the new book Modern Java Recipes: Simple Solutions to Difficult Problems in Java 8 and 9.  See the table of contents online.

The promotion starts Tuesday, August 29th, 2017 and will end on Friday, Sept 1st, 2017.

We'll be selecting four random posters in this forum to win a free copy of the book provided by the publisher, O'Reilly.

Thanks everybody. Just to let you know, the web page for the book is http://shop.oreilly.com/product/0636920056669.do, but O'Reilly Media recently decided not to sell books directly from their web site. Instead, they would love for you to get a trial subscription to Safari Books Online, which would give you access to all the books, as well as videos and online training courses. I'm a fan of that, having been a Safari subscriber for years.

That said, if you want to purchase the book directly, it's available at Amazon at https://www.amazon.com/_/dp/149197317X, Barnes and Noble, Books A Million, Google Books (https://books.google.com/books/about/Modern_Java_Recipes.html?id=z0AsMQAACAAJ), iBooks, and more, all at a discount.

Thanks, Jeane, for inviting me to participate this week. I enjoyed all the discussions on the forum. Like you, I'll be at JavaOne this year and O'Reilly is planning a book signing, so hopefully I'll see some of you there.
