I did my exam yesterday and got 67% (not the best score, but still a pass I guess).

My Preparation:

I tried to read the book by Jeanne Boyarsky and Scott Selikoff and it is a good book, but I just didn't have the patience to read the whole book. I read the first 3 chapters but I don't really learn from reading a book, so I started doing the enthuware exams to prepare instead. I did this by first marking an exam with no answers so that I could get all the answers and what I would do is when I did the test after every question I would check the answer and if it was wrong make notes. I found this a lot better than doing an exam the whole way through. I was worried that I wouldn't have enough time management to the real exam but I managed to finish with about 15 mins left so that was luckily fine.

Enthuware:

(I did this in a weird order)

Standard Test 2: 56%
Standard Test 3: 66%
Standard Test 7: 67%
Standard Test 4: 69%
Standard Test 5: 71%
Standard Test 1: 75%

People here have often said that the real exam is easier, which technically wasn't the case for me. But I think the reason for this was that the a few days before I was going to take the exam and was prepared for it, I had to postpone it by a week and in that week I only managed to study for it a couple hours the day before I did actually take it. So basically I had a 10 day unintended study break before the exam, which I guess wasn't too helpful.

All in all, I'm happy that I passed. Hopefully, I can get a higher score on the OCP.

Apologies, I was supposed to post this to Certification Results, could an admin move it or is it okay in this section?

That's great Samprit  and welcome to CodeRanch.

When you get a few moments will you please add yourself to the OCA Wall Of Fame:

If you next challenge is the OCP exam then I suggest that you look at the OCP Wall Of Fame:
https://coderanch.com/wiki/659976/Ocpjp-Wall-Fame
In reading their stories you may be able to see how they prepared and what resources they used. This could save you time, money and frustration.
