For quite a while I used Eclipse, but now, for the last 1.5 years or so (at work) I'm using IntelliJ, and I need to say I love it.
The very first thing what I picked up from this talk (I've seen it a while ago) is at 12:12, about the tabs. I switched them off, so navigating only using Hadi suggestions, it is really awesome feature. Give it a try.
Another thing what I love in IntelliJ IDEA is the integrated search within a whole project, cmd+shift+f.
For the same functionality within an Eclipse I used the plugin sts quick search, it used to do the same.
My favourite thing about IntelliJ is the refactor tools, such as "Extract Method", "Inline Method", "Extract Class" etc etc. They're really really useful and far superior to the similar offerings from Eclipse.
Hadi came to Belfast a few years back to give a variation of this talk. I remember thinking at the time that it's all just minor fluff, but having put some of the things into action I found them to be actually very valuable.
