Depends on whether the method (indirectly) contains a critical section.
If the executed code paths are completely unsynchronized, then there will be no queuing*. If the executed code has to acquire a lock, and the lock isn't released quickly, queuing may occur.
* Theoretically, queuing may still occur if there are a limited amount of threads, and the
thread scheduling algorithm is unfair. In practice this doesn't really happen a lot.
