hello javaranch,

found your site from google and thought i would join

my name is wayne and im very new to java and programming in general
i have watched a lot of basics videos and have leaned a lot over the past month or two,but havent built anything significant yet
just trying to come to grips with the language and will hopefully move onto some 2d game development for fun,well thats my goal anyway
but before i even touch any frame works im going to build console applications till im blue in the face

i have my eye on a small project i would like to start and complete and im sure some of you could help me achieve my goals
