how do i return xml with GZIP compression (if i look at other sites i see : Content-Encoding: gzip)
the target is to return big xml (2.6MB)

JAX-RS still allows regular servlet filters, so you can use one of those.

i added annotation of @GZIP
but when i check the headers i didn't see any effect

Does the client indicate that it can receive a gzipped response?
