There's this app called 2048, which I got introduced to at Christmas. Anybody else out there playing it? Comments?

I played it a good bit last year. It's fun and relaxing! The app I used had different modes which was cool. I could emphasize speed or strategy.

Seems like there's a lot of versions of the app out there, with minor differences. Mine is the plain ordinary one, it seems like. Being fast gains you nothing. On the other hand apparently there are some versions in which reaching 2048 is the end of the game -- but mine lets me carry on.

Yes, I think it was a hit on the web a few years ago and I've also played it for a while. Did you succeed in getting to 2048?

If you're tired of playing it yourself, you can try writing a program that plays it for you. Some people have used AI to write a program to play 2048.

Never heard of it, and it seems it is out for few years now. But I made myself busy out of nowhere with The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

Amazingly addictive game for just a few rules and a simple interface.  My wife regularly gets 4096 and 8192.

Haven't heard of it before today. Tried it a few times to get the hang of it. Now that I know how to play I like the game...however I'm not too good at it.

Addictive? Yup. It didn't take me long (a few days) to get 2048. Then after that I started thinking: 4096 should be possible. Didn't take me long (another few days) to get that. But 8192??? Okay... I'm going to have to continue the addiction.
