Hi,
I have tried with varying degrees of success to learn Scala over the last 5 or so years, does your book approach it in an easier to understand way? I have done the Coursera courses but I found that they suddenly jump to pretty advanced topics without much explanation.

Hi Will,
my goal is to teach Scala to a beginner audience -- all you need is some basic OOP knowledge.

Get Programming with Scala is designed not to have big jumps in the topics level. In particular, we will stop and spend the necessary amount of time to explain topics that we know are a bit difficult to digest.
The book is tutorial-driven so it will be extremely practical and full of real-life example.

I hope this helps ;)

Cheers,
Daniela
