Ok. So a robot can open the door. What's next? Open the window?

There are questions over how much is being done by the "handler".
I can't find anywhere (it's Boston, so they tend to be fairly tight lipped) about what parts of the video are AI, and what are "just" mechanics.

You think there's somebody with a remote control off camera? That would be very sneaky.

Us Linux users worry greatly about the concept of robots opening Windows.

Well, Big (and Little) Dog both require input as to where to go.  The clever bits of them are the gyros and sensors (and associated AI) for maintaining balance.
SpotMini does look like it has a decent camera on the front, so (once in position) I can see no problem with the arm opening the door (the motions as it figures out how to position the arm for example).
The question I suppose is how much human input was needed to achieve this.

Boston dynamics tends not to announce those sides of things.
They like their cool vids...and so do I, frankly.
I want one of these things!

Perhaps you can build a robot that will break into their facility and steal one of their robots. What if their robot is designed to resist the theft of itself? ROBOT WARS!!

The robot gettig the doorkey out of his pocket, suddenly realizing the keys are in the pocket of his other trousers inside, and then bouncing at the door: "Wiiiiillllmaaaa".

More and more I miss childhood, country side, when the rooster used to wake us up in the mornings. And now we have all this. Get’s scary over the time when you start thinking what can go wrong
