Tony Alicea and Jim Yingst have made massive contributions to the ranch. Not just in quantity, but quality too. They've made it clear that they are not only interested in helping folks, but that they are damn good at organizing information so a lot of people can get a lot of benefit. They've learned every spec of how to get the most out of this software for the people that come here.
Thanks guys. I'm giving you the keys to JavaRanch. I know that giving you guys these keys will make JavaRanch a much better place than if I kept the keys to myself.

Er... Thanks, I think
What does it mean?
BTW, I got the JavaRanch.com bug swapper, pen and mug. Thanks.

Check the moderators only forum for details on how to drive this machine.
What does it mean? Well, Frank is going to be unavailable for a week and I'm not patrolling this place around the clock. This gives you and Jim the ability to put out fires as they happen rather than waiting for me or Frank to show up.
And, as I said, I can't help but think that giving you guys access to the admin functions will only make JavaRanch a better place. How that will be I have no idea, but I'm sure it will become apparent in the next few weeks.

Well Tony, that sounds like our cue to start a massive flame war and wreck the place, right? Seriously though, thanks Paul.

You got that right Jim. First thing I'm busting up that saloon and calling it the Buffalo Bill saloon. I can't seem to get any reaction from my Bruce the Moose post in the moderator forum. So watch out y'all, theres a new law in these here parts. I'm takin' my hos, grub and shotgun and headin to the hills till the dust settles down.

Joe, I'll arm wrestle for the naming rights to the...
"BIG MOOSE SALOON" the name stays!
Gun fights are too messy and the new sheriffs probably would throw me in the slammer for gun fighting. You won't need to worry about jail, however. I will admit "Bruce the Moose" has a ring to it. I won't shoot you over that one.
Seriously, congrats Tony and Jim! I hope this doesn't mean you'll be throwing your weight around, flashing that pointy badge and tryin to impress the ladies.

Hey c'mon Tony, thats not a bug swapper. It is a state of the art debugging tool used to eliminate bugs that are often unreachable with other manual techniques.

It wasn't my idea to go to some crazy nightclub in the middle of nowhere. I just wanted to stay home and cuddle with this tiny ad:
